Sun & Fun Spain/France 2025

We are both up early although another night/morning of loud voices from the street below. Did quite a lot of cleanup per our host's instructions. Good weather forecast for Paris. Lana has figured out the best way of getting from our train stop in Paris to the airport and our hotel in Terminal 2. Dijon has been enjoyable and interesting with lots to do over our short time here. Our train departs at 09:06 and yes I double-checked the time!  😏 We haul our heavier suitcases to the train station and the place is packed with fellow travellers. Track 1 is our train to Paris Gare de Lyon station. Our train is late and the area around the train is packed with fellow passengers. We are onto Car 16 and one of the first people on board which means getting our luggage in a secure spot close to the door on the first level. This morning it is 8 degrees and forecast of sunny skies and a high of 15 degrees. I start my morning by vacuuming the delicious raspberry croissant. Very yummy! Our first destination of what will be a busy day is Les Halles Market . This is a giant building with outdoor vendors on the perimeter and then restaurants and more shops. They sell everything here! The place is packed with locals doing their daily shopping. Lana is in 7th heaven! After a long search she finds the perfect size of Saucisson Brioche at a kiosk. The market closes at 13:00, but the shops and restaurants on the perimeter stay open as they are permanent fixtures.  Also, Lana finds an apple (Arianne) she decides to buy as she won't find this type of apple in Canada. We spend at least sixty minutes and lots of pictures!  Les Halles Market Fig heaven! You like cheese? Our alarm goes off at 07:00. It is around 9 degrees early this morning. We have plenty of time to clean the apartment, pack our suitcases and walk downhill to the bus stop. We get ready pretty quickly and ensure our apartment is spotless. We leave early so we have a buffer of time prior to train departure. Bus C23 arrives and in about fifteen minutes we are at Part Dieu stop and navigate ourselves and suitcases in tow to the huge train station. Lana tries our bus tickets that we purchased the previous day but forgot to validate--they still good! So we got a two for one bus ticket for a while 2.70Euro each!! T'he place is flooded with people. Our first stop is Paul restaurant for some French pastries and a tea for Lana. Funny, but when Lana got her tea she noticed no taste and discovered the girl forgot to add the tea bag!  We have a long wait before Track #B is listed for our train.
